Mastery of the necessary techniques is a must in order to get the full enjoyment out of our sport. Our courses the teens include an instructional programme appropriate for every level of ability – from the first exercises for skiers new to the pistes right on to faster runs for young people with more experience. As soon as the pistes can be skied safely teen groups get to explore the whole area while perfecting their skills with training programmes designed for that purpose.

Lunches shared with their ski instructor involve a great deal of laughter. Spirits are high, and there is no shortage of conversation topics. We keep teens fully entertained with varied programme throughout the day.

GROUP COURSE

Teens enjoy spending time with their peers, and then an exciting day of skiing means something different to them than it does to adults. Lech ski school offers group courses especially designed for teens. After refining their technique and improving their intuitive feeling for the sport it’s time for them to enjoy the rush of slalom and race training. Our specially trained ski and snowboard coaches provide an extra level of fun.

ABILITY-BASED GROUPS

 

BEGINNERS

Objective: Learn skiing technique up to basic-level carving.

Snowploughing / turning / lift use / vertical skiing / sliding – first runs with change of direction at a controlled speed on easy terrain; use of sliding and steering for speed control.

 

ON-PISTE SKIING

Objective: to improve skiing technique up to parallel turns.

Parallel skiing / carving / flexion and extension – transition from snowploughing to parallel turns with long radii (carving); situation-appropriate use of the various techniques with long and short radii; parallel turns with smooth movement flows.

 

FROM THE PISTE INTO THE TERRAIN

Objective: to improve skiing technique on and off the piste.

Carving / rhythmic skiing / conduct on alpine terrain – steering using the edges and the shaped ski (long and short radii); rhythmic skiing with short radii; dynamic change of direction and skiing on steep terrain; rhythmic deep-snow skiing; off-piste skiing in line with the level of ability and the situation; use of avalanche transceivers.

 

MASTER LEVEL

Objective: to improve and internalise skiing techniques, ski tours.

Athletic, dynamic on-piste skiing / introduction to mogul fields / proper behaviour on alpine terrain / off-piste skiing – dynamic on-piste skiing at high speed, mastering the various turns and situation-appropriate use, including under difficult conditions; use of avalanche transceivers; demanding off-piste skiing and skiing tours (with ascents); good fitness level required.

PLACEMENT

Group courses are held only if a minimum of 4 participants is met.
Assignments to groups are made half an hour before instruction begins. 
ID required to qualify for child discount (born in or after 2008). 

 

SKI LESSONS

Sunday – Friday, minimum of 4 hours of instruction per day.
Advanced learners can begin on any day (except Saturday).
Beginner courses start every Sunday and Monday.

 

Meeting point: Ski school meeting point by the Schlegelkopf ski lift.

SNOWBOARD LESSONS

Single-day, 3-day and week courses possible.
Advanced learners can start on any day (except Saturday).

REFUNDS

  • Refunds for unused days can be issued only in the case of an accident or illness upon upon presentation of a medical certificate from a local doctor.

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION - private guide

Private instruction is the ideal way to achieve optimal learning outcomes for late starters and particularly ambitious teens and young adults. In this format they receive the instructor’s undivided attention and guidance tailored specifically to their skills and fitness level.

INSTRUCTION

  • Private ski lessons are held in all weather conditions.
  • Rates includes up to 4 hours skiing (max. 5 hours guest service/day incl. breaks).
  • We recommend an early reservation for your desired period.

CANCELLATION

  • Cancellation of confirmed reservations for private lessons is possible without incurring charges ONLY if the cancellation request is received 14 days before the scheduled start of instruction. If cancellation notice is not received at least 14 days in advance, the full amount, as cited in the confirmed booking, will be charged.
  • The price for one person will be billed for each day cancelled in the case of non-participation on individual days within confirmed reservations. 
  • If not all of the available time according to the booking is taken up, the charge will be made according to the booking confirmation.
