Lech/Zürs is one of the few ski areas where heliskiing (for skiing and snowboarding) is still possible.

There are two summits possible for heliskiing:

a) MEHLSACK for experienced and good skiers, as an ideal destination in deep powder snow as well as on firn slopes during spring. „Mehlsack“ (Zug Schafberg) - this opens up dream runs for deep snow skiers and, during the spring season, for firn fans. The route in the direction of „Älpele“ is the most popular run. From the bottom of the valley you can walk back to Zug in approx. 20 minutes along a well-kept walking path (there is a local bus connection from Zug to Lech, or you can use the Zug mountain railway (Bergbahn) to reach the ski area). The alternative route to the Spuller Lake (Spullersee), which offers many sunny slopes, is particularly appreciated as a beautiful firn run during late spring.

b) SCHNEETAL – ORGELSCHARTE: The airfield is situated below the Orgelscharte, and the run leads into the Schnee Valley (Schneetal) (behind Zug – Älpele). Particularly during the spring season this slope is suitable as a firn run also for skiers of intermediate skiing ability.
The flights take off from the Kriegerhorn (above Lech) and from the Flexenpaß (above Zürs). These places have been selected because they do not create noise pollution for the villages and therefore enable a happy coexistence of slope skiing and heliskiing.
Flights are booked through the ski schools. For safety reasons heliskiing is only possible with experienced ski and mountain guides from the ski schools. Flights only take place from Monday to Friday (not on weekends) and not on holidays.

 

RATES:

MEHLSACK – Price per flight: EUR 350,- * 

(from the Kriegerhorn airfield) – 
for a maximum of four people (including ski guide)

SCHNEETAL – Price per flight: EUR 370,- * 

(from the Kriegerhorn airfield) - 
for a maximum of four people (including ski guide)

Price for the ski guide: EUR 280,-

based on one person per day (four hours of skiing) surcharge for each additional person – EUR 25,- / day.

Since heliskiing is dependent on many factors (snow situation, weather conditions, availability of ski guides, etc.), tours cannot be firmly guaranteed for the requested dates! For this reason bookings can only be made AT SHORT NOTICE!
